ItineraryDay 1: OsloEnjoy your first day in Oslo with the help of your 24hr Oslo City Pass. This card gives you free admission to many attractions as well as free public transportation throughout the city. Use it to visit some of the wonderful museums and attractions such as the Holmenkollen Ski Jump or the Viking Ship and Norwegian Folk Museums. Check into your hotel upon arrival.
Day 2: Oslo - FlamAfter breakfast at the hotel depart Oslo's Central Rail Station at 8:11am to begin your journey to Fjord Norway. The Bergen Line Rail takes you to one of the most famous attractions in Fjord Norway, the Flåmsbana Railway connecting Myrdal and Flam. This journey provides some of the wildest and most magnificent scenery in Norway. Although the rail is only 20 km long, you will descend some 860 meters while witnessing rivers cutting through deep ravines and waterfalls cascading down the steep, snow-capped mountain sides. Upon arrival in Flam make your way to your historic hotel in the heart of the village and check in. The beautiful town of Flåm is situated in the innermost part of the Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of the 204 kilometer long and up to 1308 meter deep Sognefjord. Surrounded by steep mountainsides, roaring waterfalls and deep valleys, Flåm is a paradise for everyone looking for a one-of-a-kind experience with nature. Day 3: Flam - BalestrandAfter breakfast at your hotel board the express boat in Flam and cruise through the mighty Sognefjord to Balestrand, located on the shores of the fjord. This picturesque village embraces its close relationship with the natural surroundings and celebrates this with a multitude of activities for visitors. Whether you would like to hike in the mountains, fish the waters or kayak in the fjord, Balestrand is the place to do it. Day 4: Balestrand - BergenThere are 2 options for your cruise to Bergen. Depending on the day you could choose an early departure which would allow more time in Bergen or you can choose the later giving you more time to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. Upon arrival in Bergen, transfer on your own to your hotel for the night. Use your 24hr City Car to visit the Fishmarket, Troldhaugen (where the world famous composer Edward Grieg lived) and ride the Fløibanen to the top of Mt. Fløyen. The Fløibanen is one of Norway's most famous tourist attractions and the only cable car of its kind in Scandinavia. You have not really seen the city until you ascend to the roof of Bergen on the Fløibanen funicular and witness the panoramic views from the top. Enjoy the evening in this maritime city and try one of the many wonderful restaurants along the harbor for a delicious meal fresh from the sea!
